Label Information:
Smooth Move®is formulated to act as a stimulant laxative based on the traditional use of senna leaf for relief of occasional constipation. Senna leaf, as a laxative herbal tea ingredient has at least a one thousand year history of human use in traditional Arabian, Asian and European herbal medicines. Today senna leaf preparations are approved for use as laxatives in the national pharmacopoeias and formularies of China, France, Germany, Great Britain, India, Japan, Switzerland, and the United States. Senna's laxative action is largely attributed to its anthranoidcontent. Anthranaoids are compounds naturally occurring in many plant laxatives, including aloe, buckthorn, sacara sagrada, rhubarb, and senna.

Senna is an herbaceous low branching shrub native to Southern India (Tinnevelly district of Madras) and to the semidesert Nile region of northern Africa (Egypt, Sudan) and is now mostly cultivated in China, India and Pakistan. The yellowish-green to pale olive leaflets are hand-collected, dried and graded 3-5 months after planting. In Smooth Move®tea, only pharmacopoeial grade senna leaf is used containing the required level of its stimulant laxative active constituents known as hydroxyanthracene glycosides (sennosides A & B).

Safety Sealed: Each tea bag is individually sealed for freshness and tamper evidence. Do not use if cutting line on tea envelope imprinted with "Tamper Evident-Moisture-Proof" is torn or missing.

Inactive Ingredients:
Licorice Root, Fennel Seed, Orange Peel, Cinnamon Bark, Coriander Seed, Ginger Rhizome, Natural Orange Flavor

Directions:
Pour 8oz of boiling water over one tea bag and steep, covered, for 10-15 minutes. Adults and children over 12 years: Drink 1 cup before bedtime. If necessary, repeat the next day not to exceed 4 cups in 24 hours. Children 6-12 years: Drink 1/2 cup before bedtime. If necessary, repeat the next day not to exceed 2 cups in 24 hours. Children under 6 years: Consult a doctor before use.

Warning:
As with any drug, if you are pregnant or nursing a baby, seek the advice of a health professional before using this product. Do not use laxative products when abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting is present unless directed by a doctor. If you have noticed a sudden change in bowel habits that persists over a period of two weeks, consult a doctor before using a laxative. Laxative products should not be used unless directed by a doctor. Rectal bleeding or failure to have a bowel movement after use of a laxative product may indicate a serious condition. Discontinue use and consult your doctor. In case of accidental overdose, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control center immediately. Keep this and all medicines out of the reach of children.
